Kolesnikov Eduard Biography
A foreigner about why the Atyrausians are tough, and women work more men Eduard Kolesnikov, 45 years old, my hometown-Izmail, commercial director of the Non-Food Department of the DANA group of companies about moving to Kazakhstan, I moved in a year. At the end of March, I was invited to work in Atyrau. I work in the field of sales and distribution and do sales management. I immediately flew to Atyrau, without passing other cities in transit.
I remember the first thing that caught my eye is that there is little greenery in the city. In Odessa, where I flew from, another landscape. If there is a forest -steppe, then there is just a steppe. Then there was an impression of distances - they seemed huge. In addition, I did not experience any cultural shock. I flew about the city in Kazakhstan and did not particularly look for places in the city to relax, to unwind.
For the locals, the largest attraction is the embankment of the Urals. The ennobled shores collect citizens. If we talk about the establishments, then the first thing I visited the restaurant of National Kutorok cuisine. It corresponds to positioning, and the kitchen is the one that I expected. I did not feel the difference with Ukraine. I did not feel the difference with Ukraine, however, the big difference is felt by climate and nature.
I especially felt this difference in the first summer when the heat was standing, and I had to wear glasses even in cloudy weather, because the sun was different. I experienced acclimatization in the first month after moving. In Atyrau, national events are often held. There are many ensembles and groups with national songs and dances. In general, in the West of Kazakhstan, national culture is respected and often presented.
Traditions and culture are always in sight. About the people of Atyrau is the oil capital of Kazakhstan, and the city has a lot of expanses, visitors. With the locals, I intersect only in working moments. I can draw any conclusions exclusively from business behavior. In Kazakhstan, people are different, as elsewhere. As for the nationalities, I did not feel anything especially new.
Ukraine is no less multinational country, and in the Odessa region there are more nationalities. People here seem to be strict, and there is nothing wrong with that. Perhaps the Atyrausians made natural conditions and the social environment. During this time, I managed to go to Sarayshyk. There they gave me the Qur'an. I visited Aktau, Uralsk, Aktobe and Almaty, and people are very different everywhere.
The character is different. I liked the features of Kazakhstan in Almaty. There I did not feel the difference with Odessa: the same cafes, people rest the same way, drink coffee. Almaty is a city-work and a holiday, and Atyrau is a work city. Almaty is to a greater extent a city for people. Uralsk and Aktobe Russified cities. I liked Aktau: this is the novelty, and radon sources, and the port of Shevchenko.
The trip there was interesting. From Kazakh national cuisine, I tried everything at once. At first it was heavy food for me, but I liked everything. In the second week I went to buy kazy to cook. In fact, now I limit myself to everything except Kaza. Kaza is now my favorite food. Now I just add more vegetables to the diet and exclude flour. Kaza is now my favorite food about the service and prices, if compared with Ukraine, then the level of service and qualification of personnel at a low level.
It happens that a person knows little, but wants to work, not knowing how, or a person is quite qualified, but no longer wants to work in Kazakhstan. Based on this, possibly in Atyrau, they attract foreigners. It seems to me that there is no activity here with which the locals could not cope on their own. For some reason, competent Kazakhstanis are leaving Kazakhstan.
Fortunately, the leaders have indigenous Kazakhs at the enterprise, local residents and respected people who have accepted the new strategy of the enterprise. Now, fewer people are invited from abroad and more local personnel are brought up. In Atyrau, everything is much more expensive than in Ukraine. Prices are high, both for things and for food.
Perhaps this is due to the fact that everything is imported. On the other hand, the specifics of the region can be the reason: oil production, shift method of work and good salaries. The male population does not want to work in ordinary work, and everyone is looking for work with a rotational basis. On weekends, they are relaxed, rest. More women work on ordinary work. The fact that he gave the city Atyrau greatly influenced my life.
My acquaintance with Kazakhstan passed through this city. Atyrau helped to get acquainted with society, to understand people. Immediately I met my own person. I got married to Atyrau. In Atyrau, I married plans, I decided to stay in Kazakhstan.
Now I live in the country with a labor visa, but I am already engaged in the registration of a residence permit. I will have all the rights of a Kazakhstani, except for voting. We can say that already in the fall I will practically be a citizen of Kazakhstan. In the fall, my wife and I plan a move to Almaty. We want to let the roots there.
