Mahmoud Efendi read the sermons for more than fifty years, on every day of the week; If we take into account only the number of sermons for women who were regularly recorded over the past 10 years, it is obvious that the complete collection of sermons will reach volumes. The most original and useful work of Sheikh Mahmud Efendi is the work of translating the Holy Quran into Turkish, called the “Koran Medzhid”.
This work, prepared by the Academic Commission, headed by Sheikh Mahmoud Efendi, remains faithful to the Qur'an until the smallest details. The other most voluminous work of Sheikh Mahmud Efendi is the interpretation of the Qur'an in Turkish entitled "Ruh al-Furkan." Sheikh left the world of June at the age of 93. More than a million Muslims gathered at his Dzhanaz in the Fatikh area of Fatikh Istanbul, including the country's leadership in the person of Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other government members.
