Shishkin detailed biography
Ivan Shishkin is characterized by attention to every detail, the absolute truthfulness of the depicted and epic scope. On impressive canvases, Shishkin scrupulously loomed every blade or sheet, preserving the beauty of his native land for descendants. And, although in the times of his work, the fashion for realism began to give in to a new trend, impressionism, Shishkin remained faithful to himself and his gift of the painter.
Ivan Shishkin. Ivan Kramskoy. Shishkina ”, biography of Ivan Shishkin Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin was born in a poor, but respected merchant family, on January 13 of the year in a steep picturesque shore of Kama Gorodok Elabuga.
Now this settlement is located in the Republic of Tatarstan. With his father, Ivan Vasilyevich, the boy had warm, friendly relations. It was a smart, well -read person who is vividly interested in a variety of areas of science - archeology, history, technology. Father treated this lesson calmly, but the mother, Daria Alexandrovna, called the drawing “packing paper” and dreamed of another fate for her child - to become an official.
At the age of 12, she insisted that her son be sent to study at the first Kazan gymnasium, but after 4 years he fled home, categorically refusing to continue his studies. In the coming years, Shishkin remained in Elabuga. Finally, his desire to become an artist was formed when icon painters from Moscow came to the city to work in a local church. They told Ivan about the Moscow School of Painting and Sculpture.
Having persuaded his parents to let him go, in the year Ivan entered the school and moved to Moscow. A strong friendly connection was established between them, which was preserved after many years. Apollo saw talent in a young artist, he prophesied him fame and a successful career. It was during this period that Ivan decided on the artistic direction and, of course, these were landscapes.
In his memoirs, the master wrote that he did not like St. Petersburg, seemed cold and inaccessible. Even then, Shishkin thought about returning to his native Elabuga. Studying at the academy, the artist painted very actively-in St. Petersburg itself and on the island of Valaam. Many of his works created during this period became famous and awarded. He lived in Munich and Zurich, painted animals and nature, got acquainted with interesting people and discovered new types of art.
So, in Zurich, he met with the Swiss artist, Professor Rudolf, and under his leadership, learned to engrave with acid - “royal vodka”. He immediately met his future wife Eugenia. They got married in the year, but the family life was not happy for long - after four years later, in the year, his father died, followed by his little son Vladimir. Just a few months later, the artist Fedor Vasiliev, brother Evgenia and a good friend Shishkin “burned down”.
And a year later - the wife of Eugene and the son of Konstantin. Shishkin only had a daughter Lilia. The second wife, Olga Ladoga, also died only two years after the wedding. Shishkin spent the rest of his life in Elabuga, depicting pine forests and fields so dear to his heart in his heart. Immediately, at work, and died - on March 20, the artist’s heart stopped.
He was found sitting with a brush in front of the easel. Looking at them, as if you feel a slight breath of breeze and the singing of birds, the rustling of the ears of wheat and how the air thickens before the start of the rain. Dozens of his works gained worldwide fame, including: “Morning in a pine forest” - even people are very far from painting. The sensual rainy landscape is sharply different from other works of the master with monumentality characteristic of them; “Rye” is a restrained, calm picture painted in the artist’s homeland in the vicinity of Elabuga.
Massive pines, heavy, filled with moisture clouds, and golden endless rye field. The picture was painted just a year before the death of the master. His work reveals the world the magnificence of Russian nature, the endlessness of the fields and the greatness of impenetrable forests.
