Elena Timchenko Biography

However, his story began much earlier. Elena and Gennady Timchenko have been engaged in charity capacity since the X. In the year, the Key Foundation was created, which helps families with foster children. Three years later, the family founded a fund for systemic assistance to the elderly Ladoga. The fund received its current name in the year. By this time, its founders and teams have formed a strategic vision of the development of charitable programs.

Prevention of social orphanage, improving the quality of life of the elderly, developing small territories through sociocultural projects and amateur sports for children - it was decided to concentrate on four programs. The results of work by the year were supported by the project in 76 regions of Russia, the total amount of expenses for their implementation amounted to about 8 billion rubles.

During this time, the winners of the federal contest “Cultural Mosaic”, aimed at supporting sociocultural initiatives, implemented projects in 67 regions and created 57 centers of sociocultural development in their territories. As part of the Family and Children program, the Fund supported the project, due to which 22 children improved living conditions, 4 children retained families.

In addition, a large -scale study was launched to assess the well -being of children, which included eight pilot regions of Russia. In hockey events of the Sport program, 97 children took part in 12 years. In the competition "Good Ice" defeated the project for the development of children's courtyard hockey, 2 coaches-public coaches were trained. More than two thousand Russian schools received support in the framework of the Chess in Schools project.

During the work of the Elder Generation program, the Fund supported more practices aimed at taking care of the elders, and assisted about a thousand elderly people. The coalition “Care nearby”, created with the support of the Foundation, united almost non -profit organizations from 73 regions of Russia. But the effectiveness of the fund is measured not only with the amount of donations.

The experience of the first years of work showed that it is not enough to provide families with adoptive children with housing - they need professional assistance to psychologists and experts. It turned out that the main problem of the elderly is not poverty, but loneliness and lack of demand. It became clear that for the development of mass sports it is more reasonable to spend money not only on the construction of boxes and the purchase of hockey clubs, but on training trainers, to organize tournaments and support small teams.

The transition to the new strategy in the year Timchenko Foundation turned 10 years old. On the occasion of the anniversary, a site was created on which information about the most significant events from the life of the fund was collected. The relevance of the strategy, we have always been aimed at consistent and sustainable long -term development. Therefore, all changes in the new strategy are conscious and suggest an evolutionary approach - the main values and principles of work are preserved; A number of current projects will be planned; New strategic projects have largely retained their continuity.

At the same time, we believe that the declared strategy of the fund meets the requirements of the time. In crisis times, much more problems appear in society, existing exacerbates and new ones arise. At the same time, resources are reduced that can be aimed at their decision. And, of course, the state alone will never cope with this if society is not joint and mature, taking on part of the responsibility.

Our experience says that the drivers of the associations of society become active, indifferent people - it is we will continue to support and strengthen them. For any person, it is natural to strive to live at home, in his native walls, surrounded by loved ones. But, unfortunately, vulnerable people are often lacking in high -quality help, especially in distant small settlements.

This leads to a sharp deterioration in the quality of their life or to the need to leave their house, moving into the official walls of the hospitals. And during the crisis, the number of in need only increases. Therefore, the role of local communities becomes relevant than ever. We will work to strengthen their resources - identifying leaders, developing them and their teams, investing in the creation of stable partnerships.

In difficult times, it is important not to forget about the future of the country - our children. Reducing the quality of education, social and family well -being, the lack of opportunities for individual and civil development - all this will negatively affect their future fate. This risk in small territories is especially high, where before the crisis there were fewer opportunities for the self -realization of young people.

Therefore, our task is to find motivated mentors and activists who are interested in the full life of children, and help them create a supportive, developing environment for them. The entire previous experience of the fund indicates that, in addition to financial support, well -being must be given the opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills. This improves the quality of their work and allows others to transfer the acquired knowledge. In an updated strategy, we preserved a comprehensive developing support for design teams in the territories, and also allocated the training of demanded specialists for small territories and the transfer of effective work technologies to them in a separate area.

Elena Timchenko Biography

The fund tries to live, "under him, a sensing country." Seeing new problems and needs, capture trends, find new opportunities. Therefore, our strategy is not a document carved in granite, but a lively, flexible tool based on mission, values and principles. We will always believe it with the life of the country and society, analyze the results and do “work on mistakes”.
