Biography of Khryakov
Information on the website of the Golden Mask festival play Laggers “We Heroes” is very complicated, its main idea is by no means obvious. What was your reaction after reading the play? It was a completely new view of the material. Lagars’s play shocked me with such a philosophical view of life. I read articles about the Lagars Theater, about the look at him, including the work of the student, which was supervised by Marina Yuryevna Dmitrevskaya Theater critic - approx.
A huge number of questions arose, a completely new sense of French drama. I discovered some other planet for myself. This director, who died at the age of thirty-seven years from AIDS, a philosopher by education, for some reason wrote about the Jewish troupe on the diaries of Franz Kafka. I like the syllable, language, a cutting of being that he gives. And the eternal question before leaving for another world: “Why?
Why do you need to die? And still something opens up, opens ... Oleg Alekseevich said very subtle things: "This is our most quiet performance, it has a special perception." An external form was removed in the play, all transformations occurred inside each of us in some kind of halftones. It was practically off from the form of movement, all our existence became internal. In the process of preparing for the performance, what historical materials did you read?
Not historical, but research. I read materials about the Holocaust, about people who have experienced a situation of fear. I read the diaries of Kafka. I wanted to feel in the middle of this vortex, because it seemed terrible to me a feeling of close death. What Laggers wrote is wider than my perception as a person touching the role. The scenography in this performance is quite unusual.
First of all, it is unique that the action takes place in the depths of the scene, “behind the scenes”, according to the initial remark. How did this space settled? We got used to the compressed stage space, where it was necessary to move along a narrow corridor without touching anyone. This is like the life of small people in a very small room, causing special physiological well -being, when violation of the personal territory is the norm.
If not for the role of Monsieur Chissic, then who would you like to play? As often happens in professional work, you see another character better than your own. Of course, by age I do not go to the role of Max, but I just know that you can play there and where to direct the experience. Perhaps we are completely different with Chisik. I met this kind of people, but I did not find common points of contact.
Monsieur Chisik involuntarily causes compassion. Non -sound, not taking part in common quarrels, unprofitably loving his wife. No one perceives him seriously, almost every replica remains unanswered. It is psychologically difficult to play such a character? Monsieur Chissic for me is a clown. He loves and protects his wife, of course. Psychologically, it was not clear to me how to attach to him.
But it was more important how Lagars looked at him and how the director sees him. Even before the performance of the play “We Heroes”, my wife and I went to the performance of the French street Menage Street Theater, where it immediately became clear to me: they are different. And, when work began on the production of Oleg Rybkin, I wanted to internally become different: as if I were on French land and as if Laggers rehearsed with me.
What qualities do you like the most in your hero? Monsieur Chisik loves as I do not know how. And this is his dignity. He is unusually sensual, he emotionally reacts at every moment of his life, and this reaction does not end. Please describe in three words the play “We Heroes” so that a person who did not know about this production earlier wants to visit it. This is a performance about the meaning of our life and the meaning of life in faith.
