Eugene has an older sister, her name is Julia. As a child, she proved herself a positive and extremely modest girl who did not cause her mother and dad even minimal trouble. Her mother then even said that she was not seriously worried about what her daughter was doing exclusively what she was ordered.

Startseva’s first experience in sports is figure skating. But the career on the ice ended, not really starting. Yes, Zhenya managed to perform at several children's tournaments. Later, Eugene recalled that her mother tried, as she could prepare her for competitions, she was engaged in sewing beautiful costumes. From figure skating, Zhenya left, learning only elementary.

These were such movements as a “swallow” or “pistol” - that is, the initial level. At the same time, Startseva herself then noted that she learned to run very quickly on skates and due to this was faster than any peer. It turned out that her name was not only further engaged in figure skating, but also wanted to make skating. Eugene also noted that she was largely tired of figure skating.

She cried a lot, she was worried about small pains like a short -term illness of the stomach or cold. And then the parents decided that they should no longer torment the child. The volleyball turned out to be a completely different story. Eugene ran to the section Street and with a great desire. As Startseva said, her entry on volleyball did not happen right away. Once a children's sports coach came to her school, and evaluated the potential of children on external signs.

Zhenya was already a cut above others. Therefore, she received a leaflet, on which there was an invitation to a volleyball section with an appeal to her parents. When my mother asked Zhenya if she wanted to go, she answered in the affirmative. At seven, she began her way in volleyball. For several years, Startsev’s attitude to training has been at the hobby level. But when she was ten, the coach told her parents that the girl had a huge potential, and therefore he would think about a more global approach.

Parents understood the signal, and decided what to give Zhenya to a sports school - the correct development of events. There, the girl grew up and grown as an athlete under the beginning of the mentor Lyudmila Sukhova. She had a minimum amount of free time. They took three hours for training, and when she returned home, she came so tired that there was only enough strength to make lessons.

As Startseva herself said, at first she went to workouts once or twice a week, and then the section did not take much time. Already when she ended up in a sports school, the training began in the morning in the morning. At the end of the workout, she went to school to study, and then went to the evening playing at six in the evening. And while she gathered and drove to the other end of the city, and then trained, it was already about nine o’clock in the evening.

All that Startseva managed to make a lesson. However, she did not worry. Eugene noted that she was not “sick” at all in cartoons, and was concentrated on achievements in sports. Startseva has preserved one persistent impression about her native Chelyabinsk. She traveled almost daily to the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant. And therefore, I forever remembered what a crowded trolleybus is in the morning, in which each passenger goes to work at his own factory, and most importantly, breathing on it with fumes.

Moreover, Zhenya emphasized that it was not possible to turn away, because everything around was a bit. And it was possible to sit only when the vehicle left at least half of the passengers. The girl three times became the best in the country at the level of youth sports schools and twice became the winner of the sports day. It is not surprising that quickly Startseva was part of her first career in a professional club.

For five years, Zhenya played for the Chelyabinsk Avtodor-Metar. This club, as a rule, did not pursue serious goals, so Eugene, as a stably progressive athlete, was essentially doomed to go to another team. She in M ​​became Dynamo from Krasnodar. With this club, Eugene stably replenishes the collection of titles. So, with the Kuban, the Russian Cup and the Cup of the European Confederation of Volleyball managed to win.

But Startseva did not stop there, and the circumstances were so that in M, Eugene decided to move to Tatarstan. Thus began the period of performances in Dynamo from Kazan. In this team, Startseva managed to achieve great success. Including - the recognition of her charisma and the inclinations of the leader. She was the captain of the team, and this happened in all groups, the colors of which she defended.

True, in Kazan this occurred after four years. As Eugene admitted, "this is the responsibility of another level." However, at the same time, she emphasized that she did not feel that at the same time in the locker room or on the site, something changed significantly.And she noted that she was trying to demonstrate the qualities of a leader and be a guide for teammates in any case. With the Kazan club, Startsev has repeatedly achieved victories in the championship of the country and the Russian Cup.

And then the sensation broke out. Startseva announced the care. She gave the Kazan club nine years of her life. As the athlete later emphasized, the termination of the contract was a balanced and deliberate move. She wanted a new call and leaving the comfort zone, sought to grow and continue to develop. In addition, as it turned out, the departure of Ekaterina Gamova influenced her. As Startseva later said, to replace such volleyball players “generally unrealistic”, as if I would not want to.

She said that this is not just a big, but an irreparable loss. Evgenia complained that Gamova’s departure destroyed game ties within the team, made a very difficult process of transition to the construction of an updated team. The new club in Yevgenia was the Moscow Dynamo. As part of the metropolitan club, Startsev performs with the GO, and managed to become the winner of the national championship.

There is no doubt that today Eugene is a leading player in the “speakers”. Even during the performances for Kazan, Startsev was repeatedly asked why she did not play in the clubs of Western Europe. So, following the example of the same Gamova, she could try her forces in the same championship of Italy - one of the strongest in the old world. Eugene replied that such a goal simply did not set, and that work in her native country is completely satisfied with her, and she performs in a good club.

In June, Eugene took part in the Yeltsin Cup, and already in August spoke at the World Universiade. Evgenia had in the national team and moments of failure. Such was the performance in the Russian squad in the League of Nations, then, following the results of Tour, the team could not achieve access to the playoffs. In the summer, Ga Startseva performed at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

In the quarterfinals, the rival was Brazil, and the Russians lost to her Startsev won the championships of Europe and the world. She also wore the captain's dressing of the national team at all the last large competitions. This was at the World Cup, and on the euro, and on the World Cup with the main team of the country Startseva, it was possible to record a solid list of titles in his asset.

She became the best in the world, won the European championship, was a winner of the World Cup and won positions on the pedestal in the Grand Prix. In fact, only one medal did not submit to her - we are talking about a reward for efforts at the Olympics. It is not possible to understand whether it consists in a relationship, and she herself avoids this topic in every possible way, and tries to bypass the questions of this kind.

At the same time, the athlete has repeatedly emphasized that she appreciates two qualities in men. This is the mind and sense of humor. In addition, Eugene emphasized that the material condition of the future chosen one will not have any importance, and if the representative of the stronger sex will earn less than she is not scary. She does not put money at all at the forefront.

Also, Eugene once said that nothing would stop a determined man. If he has a desire to conquer, then for this he will do everything possible.
