Biography of the puppeteer

And the era of master classes entitled “The Art of Playing Puppets” in the Novosibirsk Regional Theater of Puppets continued. The master class began with the main question: “Who is the most important in the Puppet Theater? And the Kukolnik actor has the main limb-a hand. Therefore, before starting the master class, the auditorium made a warm-up and even a little head.

What did we find out at the master class itself? Photo by the author of a cane doll. Sticks similar to canes are attached to her hands. It is played on the tablet, that is, on black theater scrapers. The actor’s hand is placed in the head of the doll, which helps to create the effect of mobile facial expressions.

Biography of the puppeteer

It can be ordinary fingers, or transparent, drawn thin dolls on the same thin sticks. This is not all types of theatrical dolls, but we definitely met the main ones. The audience presented excerpts from the performances “Morozko”, “Forest Adventures”, “Kolobok” and “Buk”. The auditorium, full of small guests of the theater and their parents, sang songs, helped bees collect honey for Buki Bunny, was able to tickle the unknown beast P.

S: The author was also able to stroke this and remained delighted and, in fact, feel like real actors-wovers, getting acquainted with professional dolls and even playing small scenes with them. And the correspondent "Growth. Nevertheless, there are many children in the hall, and they are often mobile or unpredictable. Eve: There are always different cases, because the children are alive and direct, they will never climb into their pockets in a word.

Everything they think will say. If you treat this with humor, then this will not be a serious problem. On the contrary, always interesting, exciting. This comes, I think, with experience. The more you work, the less afraid. I no longer remember when I was afraid, still for many years in the profession. Sometimes it is exciting, but, most often, if there are some points in communication with the audience, someone behaves non-standard, then we try to translate it as a joke and we get funny, funny cases that we recall and tell how acting stories.

Nikita: On the contrary, this is the charm, in this life! You react every time in different ways, and each master class is always different and passes. You never predict this. You know, sometimes at the performance there is something that you probably do not expect. Photo by the author - do you have a favorite doll or a type of doll? Eva: I like the tablet type of dolls. Of my roles, my favorite doll is the black face from the play “Dog-PEOS”.

This is a dog, and it, by the way, is also a tablet. I love this role, I love this doll. Nikita: I have all my favorite dolls. With those with whom I have to work, I need to establish contacts, find love for them. You just can’t do without love for everyone. If we talk about my favorite form, then this is the most common - “tablet” tablet. Because she is closer to her heart or something, opposite you.

What was she? Eva: I made dolls at the institute: there were parsley, we sewed and painted them, there was a glove doll for the People’s Theater. We made dolls for numbers. I made a mask myself and invented, painted, made a sea man from a cellophane with his lover, flying doll. She had hands and hair from cellophane. I still have these dolls, her dress shines very beautifully in the light of sophists.

For many years I made a lot of dolls in the theater. Sometimes the soul asks, sometimes it is necessary for a number, and sometimes everything together. Nikita: Of course, like any student. We must even do our number. Someone does independent work and prepares the material part, that is, a whole performance. My first doll was a dancer from such a canopy that curtains fix. She still danced the eastern dance.

Eve: I, for example, if I damage the doll, then I raise it and immediately apologize, stroke it. This is such a superstition, so as not to be offended. Or I can say before the performance to say: "All, come on, do not let down." I can hug, stroke, make contact with a doll. It is important to me. I believe that there is some kind of energy connection. Nikita: I know that most of my colleagues are adherents of this.

But I just just tactile relationships: touch, check. It seems to me that this contact is enough. The contact itself is already a greeting. Photo by the author - Why did you decide to become a puppeteer? Eva: This very multifaceted type of theater and accommodates absolutely everything. In this theater you can afford almost everything. You can hooligate, indulge, play as in childhood.

This is amazing. When you get acquainted with the doll theater closer, you will depart from the stereotype that it is only for children, because we are trained at the theater institute absolutely at the same basis as dramatic actors. We even have such a thing as a “living plan” when we play without a doll. We can and, if necessary, do it. We also have situations where you need a sea of fantasy, where you can work miracles.

This is very exciting. This adds fairy tales, which we often lack in reality. Nikita: I have such a story, of course, interesting. I generally accidentally got to the theater. At the age of eighteen, I got to listen to Bratsk and they called me to work in the doll theater. Only then did I come to study here. In Novosibirsk, he was educated by the artist of the Puppet Theater, then he received the education of the director of the Puppet Theater, and then I still want to continue training.

I will already study in graduate school. Who knows, maybe I will be a master. So far I work as a teacher at the institute. Eve: It happens, of course. When you take a new doll, it always causes a feeling as if you were trying to work in a puppet theater for the first time. You adapt to her. Naturally, there are complex dolls. It happens that for a long time you cannot make contact with her, to adopt.

She gets confused, something does not work out. This is exciting, especially at the performance of the performance, at the premiere. Gradually, if you work a lot, everything begins to work out, and the excitement leaves. Nikita: Rehearsals are given to us, to adapt, get used to. If we understand that we have little time, then we are highlighting our personal.

We cannot deceive the children. We must work well, beautifully. Puppeting is a great skill. This type of theater is special, specific and, say, not quite familiar. Do not think that the doll theater is only for children, and that there are performances for the "smallest" in such a theater. For example, in the Novosibirsk Regional Puppet Theater there are premieres of performances for an adult audience, such as: “Crazy day, or marriage of Figaro”, “Mumu”, “Bury me for the skirting board”, “The queen of beauty from the line”, “Mozart and Salieri” and many others.

Follow the announcements and do not miss the premieres!
