Biography of Julia Ulyanova
Julia worked for three years at a passenger airline, and then a source went to business aircraft: Yulia Ulyanova Julia Ulyanova for 10 years in the sky. She dreamed of being a judge, but at one moment she threw a job in the office, moved to Moscow, studied on the flight attendant and got a job in S7. For seven years, Julia has been flying on a business jet. RU found out from her how the work in the passenger airline differs from the service in business aviation, what restrictions are employees.
From a lawyer to Julia’s business aviation 35 years old. She was born in Novosibirsk, studied at a lawyer there and dreamed of becoming a judge. I gave it to the civil service for several years, then, at the invitation, I got a job as a manager in a construction company, where I worked before moving. In the year, Julia decided to sharply change everything: she moved to Moscow, filed a resume in S7 and studied on the flight attendant there.
The training and all the commissions passed in a couple of months, flew as an intern, and only then as a flight attendant. I understood that I did not want to go to the office for five days a week. I wanted to expand the borders, look at the world, and curiosity played, ”says Julia. She did not talk about plans to his relatives, she recalls that her parents learned about everything at the moment when the interview in S7 was successful.
Mom was almost not surprised, she suspected that Julia would sharply change her life, including a kind of activity. In part, I fulfilled his dream to fly, ”says Julia. For seven years, the source has been flying at one business jet: Julia Ulyanova, having worked for three years in the S7, the stewardess left the airline. For seven years, she has been flying on a business jet.
Business aircraft, Julia explains - these are private planes, there are no random people on board. According to the flight attendant, there is no certain schedule, as in passenger aviation, the crew goes on a flight when the owner of the aircraft wants, and where he needs. Sometimes the crew can find out about the flight in one day, but at the same time there is always enough time to prepare.
On board, usually the owner and his guests, the team knows them, and everyone also knows the team. Julia also got into the business aviation after training, but first I had to go through the casting. For several months, stewards not only study the behavior in emergency situations and the device of the aircraft, but also study etiquette, psychology, serving and sommelier's skill.
For example, it is important to make food beautifully on board: despite the fact that it is already sophisticated, it is important to properly present the dish. As soon as the study ended, Julia recalls, she submitted a resume to several companies, passed the interviews and chose one of them. The work is calmer than on regular flights, there is no large stream of people, always the same passengers, ”says Julia.
Thanks to the work of the stewardess, she visited dozens of countries, but she travels during the vacation the source: Julia Ulyanova among the pluses and the number of hours in the sky: there are fewer in business aviation, and there are almost no reversal flights. To disclose the salary and what you are flying with is prohibited. Julia notes that in business aviation salary is slightly higher than on regular flights.
In the S7, the flight attendant recalls, on average there were no more than 80 hours of flights per month, a schedule was built from this. As a rule, stewards work six days a week, flights can be both daytime and night. Necessarily after a night flight - a free day so that employees can sleep off. We have a total medical audit, so obvious health problems are excluded, ”says Julia.
The regime in any case goes astray, says the stewardess, and after work, rest is always necessary. Each has his own: some go to massage or in spa, others fall asleep, Julia prefers travel. For me, this is the best recovery, ”Julia laughs. In the passenger airline, the requirements, according to the stewardess, are strict. The flight attendants should always look perfect.
They watched even the size of earrings and the number of rings on the hands, and they could be fined for violations. In business aviation, everything is simpler: the employee should look neat, and it does not matter what the color of the nails is and whether there are tattoos on visible parts of the body. Despite this, we always have a neutral manicure, unbearable makeup, laid hair. You have to look perfect, ”says the flight attendant.
Julia notes that it is always good to look good for her, this has already become a habit and turned out to be useful in life. Passengers on regular flights were different, so the flight attendants have to be more attentive. For example, in S7, the team assesses the state of the passenger, both physical and psychological, at the entrance to the plane. In business aviation, otherwise - the crew always knows and understands that no unforeseen situations will happen.
According to the flight attendant, private planes are mainly flying in Russia, Turkey, the UAE and neighboring abroad, for example, in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Belarus. The stewardess visited dozens of countries, and if you count the days of vacation, the most Julia were remembered by Africa, especially Algeria, and Myanmar, there, according to her, there are not many tourists, and people live differently than in Russia: other mentality, climate and lifestyle.
After a flight in a business jet, the crew usually walks around the city, time allows. In the S7, for example, there were great difficulties with this, at the moment when Julia worked at the airline, there were few business trips, mostly the crew flew to the reversal flights - flew and flew back. Julia does not regret that she left the office and became a stewardess, for 10 years of thoughts about leaving aviation, she did not have a source: Julia Ulyanova The crew constantly undergoes training, both in passenger airlines and in business aviation.
The latter refers to this stricter - flight attendants should always develop and understand different areas of life. The team has two pilots, an engineer and I, if passengers are more than five or six, then we fly with an assistant. We are as one big family, for so many years we got used to each other, ”the stewardess laughs. Over the years, Julia’s aviation did not bother, she admits that even in her thoughts she was not to leave the profession.
Many colleagues, according to her, when they stop flying, miss airplanes, yearn for the sky and sometimes return. By the way, the Top Stewardess contest recently ended. Julia did not become a winner, but reached the finals. In the year, our heroine was awarded the jubilee medal of the “Years of Civil Aviation of Russia”.
