The sensation girl, who in her years began to write poetry showing the tragedy of the human soul ... The girl who captured the whole world with her work, before which the Russian poet Georgy Levchenko fell. Uncle Zhora, so Svetlana calls him, one of the hooligans of the time that the entire Soviet Union wore in his hands. The light of this man seemed a friend who paved the way for the stars, to the peaks of glory, whom a little girl who did not know life wanted to get to.

He recalls the former, hoping to return what has left his life without a trace. The sad story of modern life, in which a lot is forgotten. Svetlana and George forgot the whole world, what will happen to long -desperate people? Sveta moved over the ocean, she can proudly wear the name of the United States citizen. George nurses a sick wife in Russia, trying to make their life together better.

Fate or random meeting brings the heroes of the novel together at the author’s evening Levchenko himself? For Sveta, Lukina is not an accident. This meeting is a reckoning for a ruined life! And it was Levchenko who ruined it. During the novel, the main characters recall each other, but with the only goal in order to blame each other of “betrayal” and renunciation of each other.

Everyone recalls that no one called each other, never remembered. Sveta Lukin remembers, remembers everything! Trying to find guilty of her life troubles, she accuses Levchenko. She wants to declare to the world with reckoning. Levchenko’s death periodically gives her vitality to feed her mother, who moved with her to America and live herself. Living in the past, it still exist ... It is in this position, in my understanding, there is Light.

The long -awaited evening comes. Sveta along with his friend goes to the evening, the evening of death, which was presented to her many times. The evening where she will be like Vera Zasulich or Fanny Kaplan. Eve of reckoning. With every minute of the passing evening, Sveta understands that she is unable to murder: “Tonk is thin”, that is how she thinks to herself.

Approaching Levchenko in order to show the verses of his friend, Sveta explains to him who she is. From this moment, the enmity, in my opinion, ceases. They have a nice dinner in the company of university professors and later go to the beach, where Uncle Zhora, swollen with wine, falls asleep. And Sveta continues to tell him about his experiences and life. And at the end he asks the last question: “But only why, Uncle Zhora, why?

Why should she live when she cannot write anymore? This question remains unknown to anyone. Neither to us, nor the real Windoderkind, Nika Turbina, who became the prototype of Svetlana Lukina. Both are forgotten, they will still remain in the hearts of people, and the work of Maria Rybakova “Blacks of Man” will serve us as a reminder. This novel shows life without embellishment: Sveta’s egoism, anger and anger boiling inside the heroine, the loss of the present because of the past is all that is repeated in our life over and over again, and what we also repeat.
