According to the representative of the city administration, another important problem is the sustainable provision of the population with light, heat and water. There are also problems with water: Ukraine blocked the water supply, and water does not enter us in sufficient quantity. Now we will equip the wells in boiler houses to raise technical water and launch it into the heating system, ”Yuri Chekunov explained.

Large-scale repair at the objects of heat and water supply to Makeevka is scheduled for a year due to subsidies from the federal budget. Yuri Chekunov noted that shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not stop to this day, so the situation in the city remains tense. But, despite this, the inhabitants of Makeevka show real willpower and adamance. The rest also periodically arrives in connection with the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive means of delivery of ammunition of western production of increased range.

Donetsk, whose satellite city is Makeevka, of course, in a more difficult position, because from the line of combat contact to them is closer. And people die, and there are wounded. No matter how sad it is to talk about it, but the inhabitants of Makeevka are used to everything. They have an iron character, they definitely cannot break them, ”he said. Yuri Chekunov said that now the development of a new master plan of the city, which will be focused on the most ambitious tasks: “Be that as it may, the city lives its own life, seeks to develop, in which we help it.

He also said that, within the framework of the Ugra agreement, he supplies the equipment for road and utilities and the Ministry of Emergencies, including the Mountain Rescue detachment of the Ministry of Emergencies of the DPR, which is deployed in Makeevka, sends Russian educational literature.
